• Always place baby on his/her back to sleep at naps/nighttime., use a firm sleep surface, covered by a fitted sheet.
• Never place baby on adult beds to sleep or sleep with your baby, follow health care provider guidance on your baby’s vaccines and regular checkups.
• Give your baby plenty of tummy time is he/she is awake and being watched.
• Make sure that no one smokes around your baby.
• Finally make sure that everyone who cares for your baby is aware of the risk of SIDS and your baby sleep habits and routine.
• Start a conversation about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Spread the word.
• One baby that dies from SIDS is one baby to many.
• Become a Safe Sleep advocate by having a discussion about SIDS with a father, grandparent, caregiver or a pregnant woman.
